Privacy Policy

1. Who we are

Catch ("Catch," "we," "us") is a link-saving app that helps you save and organize videos, articles, and posts from across the web. This policy explains what information we collect through the Catch iOS app and how we use it. If you have questions, contact us at info.codeway.online@gmail.com.

2. Information we collect

Account information. When you sign in with Apple or Google, we receive your name (if you choose to share it) and email address, and create an account tied to that identity.

Content you save. The links you save, along with metadata we generate about them — page titles, AI-written summaries, suggested tags, preview images, your own notes, custom tags, and which collections you've added them to.

Usage data. Basic activity needed to run the app: when an item was saved, when you last opened it, how many times, and your subscription/save-count status.

Purchase information. If you subscribe to Catch Pro, the purchase is handled by Apple's App Store and our subscription platform, RevenueCat. We receive confirmation of your subscription status — we do not receive or store your payment card details.

3. How we use your information

  • To save, organize, and sync your links across your devices
  • To automatically generate titles, summaries, and tags for what you save
  • To power semantic search and the Ask AI feature over your own saved content
  • To enforce the free-tier save limit and manage your Catch Pro subscription
  • To fix bugs and understand how the app is used, in aggregate

4. AI processing

When you save a link, the page's metadata (and, where relevant, your notes and tags) is sent to Google's Gemini API to generate a title, summary, tags, and a search vector (embedding) used for semantic search. This processing happens automatically for every saved item — it is not used to train Google's models on your data beyond standard API processing, and it is not shared with any other third party.

5. Who we share information with

We don't sell your personal information. We use the following service providers to run Catch:

  • Firebase (Google) — authentication, database, file storage, and backend functions
  • Google Gemini API — AI summarization, tagging, and search embeddings
  • RevenueCat — subscription and purchase management
  • Apple / Google — sign-in and, for subscriptions, payment processing via the App Store

Each of these providers processes data only as needed to provide their service to us, under their own privacy and security commitments.

6. Data retention & deletion

We keep your account and saved content for as long as your account is active. You can delete individual saved links at any time in the app. To delete your entire account and all associated data, email info.codeway.online@gmail.com from the address associated with your account, and we'll remove it within 30 days.

7. Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, export, or delete your personal data, and to object to certain processing. To exercise any of these rights, contact us at info.codeway.online@gmail.com.

8. Children's privacy

Catch is not directed at children under 13 (or the minimum age required in your country), and we do not knowingly collect information from them. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, contact us and we'll delete it.

9. Security

We rely on Firebase's infrastructure for authentication and storage, which encrypts data in transit and at rest. No system is perfectly secure, and we can't guarantee absolute security of your information.

10. Changes to this policy

If we make material changes to this policy, we'll update the date at the top of this page and, where appropriate, notify you in the app.
